Anyone with Pictus Gecko Experience?

While she was at work before I bought her, she laid an egg. just one egg. She has never had contact with any other gecko. (we only had 1) Anyway, Last night she laid another egg. The one side was flat and I tried picking it up and it just kind of broke. Anyone know why shes laying eggs?

Some female geckos (and other reptiles) just lay eggs without a male being around. It's completely normal and you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Has this female ever been in contact with any males before?

Never, we only got the one pictus and she's been in the same cage, never having any contact with anything else. We must have had her for about 8 months I wanna say. Then I finally took her home.

Some gecko species can store sperm up to a year. So if she lays an egg again, see if it hatches. Maybe she was with a male before she ended up at the pet store.

she may just be firing blanks. i've had birds that did this.
