Hey guys, I have the API Liquid test kit, but I lost the instructions.

Could anyone please help me with the instructions on how to test for PH, Nitrite, and Nitrate... I remember the ammonia test, because it's simple, but I forget the procedure for the other tests. I know one of the tests, either PH or Nitrate you have to shake for a minute and a half or something along those lines, but I want to do the tests properly without buying a new kit.

Thanks for all your help!

Nitrate you have to add solution #1, invert a few times, shake solution #2 for 30 seconds, add solution #2, shake for 1 minute

Just be careful if printing these, oftentimes the hues printed can be off slightly, and with these cards that critical...

Yeah... good point. Maybe I will just get a new test kit when I can. The Chemicals in the test kit don't have an expiration date do they?

They do, but it's fairly lengthy shelf life. Also, you cna buy the cards independantly.

it's about 2-3 years, i think. the bottles are labeled with an expiration date, but it's like some sort of code.
