hey. how does this sound- 10g-trio of a. viejita-6 cardinal tetras-4 cories-3 ottos-i dwarf gourami(already in that tank)-havily planted(DUH)ill start peat filtration to get the ph down. might try some shrimp too but dont really count to bio load

did that make sense?anyways here is my last thought. tell me if this i still overstocked-pair of apistos(trifasciata or close facsimile)6 cardinal tetras(or equivalent)2 ottos, 3 cories and 2 shrimp. ddoes this sound decent?with a low ph and good maintenance i think this could work. oh yes and lots of plants. i need some feedback on this one. maybe i should ask the guy at walmart(the same guy that tried to sell me a pacu and a 5g to go along since it was on special)
I'd say a pair of apistos of any sort alone are sort of over stocked, Mine were doing well until they spawned than the female killed the male. If you are going to do that remove the male after they spawn. when I can afford another male or if my fry are succesful I will deffinetly not make that mistake again. If the female is ruthless enough to kill her lover than clearly she will have no problems picking off any of the others.

Still a little overstocked. Ditch the cories (the apistos will torment them), ditch the shrimp (the apistos will eat them). The gourami should be ok once it learns to stay away from the apistos territory (some apistos are ruthless, some not). I would also lose the emperors and add to the cardinal school.
