Aqua-Clear mini filter! Need advice

Hi there,

I need help, maybe someone out there has had this problem before. Last night my cat turned the powerbar that power the fish tank lights and filter. I turned it back on and thought nothing of it. NOW, 16 hours later, I relaize that I should have started the pump up again. I have tried filling it with water and plugging it in but nothing is happening - it isnt pumping. Chances are it is probably broken but I wanted to check here before I go out and buy another one.

Unplug it
Take it all apart
Look at the impeller, see if it is damaged
If it isent clean it out good
Fill the filter
Plug it back in

See what happens. Did you leave it pluged in or out during the 16hours?

Unfourtunately it was plugged in....

Ugg. More then likely it is dead. Try it again and see what happens. More then likely a new one will be needed.

Thats what I was afraid of.....but I cleaned the impeller and it seems to be working! thanks
