AquaBid SUCKS!

Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion I guess. Though admittedly, it is nice to have a tame forum around.

Glitches happen on every web site. I am sure Aqauabid will soon resolve the problem if they haven't already. I had good experience with them.

is it really the end of the world that you might need to purchase your fish next week? i know you have waited a long time but what is another few days??? people these days expect everything to always work and never have any glitches of any kind. and then they get all p'd off when something doesnt quite work. just calm down, relax, and get them next week!.

regarding rules that govern stating names and companies in negative threads and fighting because of such a post......i will always be on the side of the mods...i have mod'd a few forums in my day and have had to close many many threads before we placed a rule to prevent such occurrences. if you would like to visit a site that has rude and abusive threads about people/places/things you now know where not to visit on a daily basis.

No need for the holy hammer. I was just curious, since it isn't a rule I've come across on any other forums. It's not like I've been here since the beginning or keep an eye on every single post, but if it has been a problem and a rule needs to be enforced, then so be it.

Strange that you have never come across the rule before, I think a lot of it has to do with slander and protecting the admin/owners of a website. If a member of a forum comes along and posts negatively about a person/company and those allegations turn out to be false, then that person/company are able to sue the website for defamation of character... at least its something along those lines, which is why the rules are there to essentially protect the forum.

I'm getting the same message when I try to register. So I'll just keep trying each day until it works. And hey, maybe they'll have an even better deal than I was going to get this week. :D

I had problems with them on placing my auctions. I've bought several critters from there though without problems....yet....*crosses fingers*

I think the reason it isn't a rule on any forums I've come across is because it's unlikely to happen. It's a rather farfetched situation that a store owner would come across a negative review, and attempt to sue the forum it was posted on. When was the last time Epinions, Fatwallet, etc were sued? But like I said, if it has been a problem that has attracted a lot of negative people on this forum in the past, and the administrators need a rule to prevent it, so be it. I have no problem with it, I was just curious.

I highly doubt the company you are refering to even cares enough to do anything. Joe makes plenty of money from long standing customers and one flaming of him is not going to hurt him. Look at most of the negative feedback and most of the buyers cheaped out on shipping. Don't do that with joe.

Oh, now I can kinda see what the admins meant.

..so sorry to have dragged this thread off topic BTW.
