aquaclear 500 clicking noise

I find that with the aquaclear filters, that they are very quiet to start with but as they age they start to make more noise. Thius is especially true if they are not taken apart and cleaned every now and then. Check the impeller. It is the most likely suspect when you start to hear a weird noise coming from the filter.
