Aquaclear 70 Replacement Motor???

I got a Aquaclear it makes alot of noise it has done this since I turned it on. It use to be in my 20H when I leant my sister my tank. Well disaster struck and by that I mean my lil nephew nocked over the hood making the light the clothes papers and all kinds of other junk fall in there. Well I had Flora Base substrate and the fish freaked and kicked up all kinds of the substrate plus we did to pulling everything out.

It was never turned on after that. Now its noisey and want it replaced.

I looked on DrsFosterSmith but they dont got it or at least didnt see it. Anyone know of any other place I could find it at???
 
Well I would but the entire unit runs good and I would find it a waste to buy a new one when I could just buy the motor. Thanks for the link though only $11.99 cool =)
 
Are you sure its motor?

Might need the 9.99 impeller.
Then if that lil gasket doesn't come off easy. Seal Ring, 1.99

OR?

Just an impeller for 9.99.
 
^^You should try a new impeller first, sounds like it sucked up some substrate. Did you take it out & clean it? That may be all it needs.

If you're in a hurry Petsmart sells them or used to.
 
You should replace the shaft and impeller assembly as a matching pair. Just take a pair of needed nose pliers and pull the old scar up impeller shaft strait out remember the height of the shaft end to impeller so you don't tap drive the new impeller shaft too far in and out the bottom, then place your new impeller on. I had to do my old 70 (300) and now it works like new. I picked up the shaft which is hard to find ate Strictly Pets

im pretty sure its the motor cuz the impeller was a bit dirty but I cleaned it of. The only thing I cant really clean properly was the motor. May try a last attempt to reclean it since the media is due for a cleaning but doubt it will work.

ger in all honestly

make a wanted thread here or start calling up lfs to see if they have replacement parts
