I have a aquaclear 200 filter that I used for my old 10gal freshwater tank. Now that I have a 55gal saltwater, can I use the aquaclear filter in the 10gal has a quarantine tank?

I use an Aquaclear 200 along with live rock and a powerhead in my 10 gallon mantis shrimp tank. No problems thus far. I think it's fine to use for a nano or a quarantine tank, I just wouldn't trust it as the only filter, except in a quarantine tank. If you later use it in a nano, I'd advise a bit of live rock and/or sand to host bacteria and clean the filter media weekly or thereabouts. With a quarantine, you will only have it up maybe 6 weeks at a time, so it's not going to produce a lot of nitrates.

what media should I use. All 3 of them or...?

Use the foam and optionally the carbon. You probably won't need the carbon unless you medicate, but it shouldn't be harmful and might be helpful. Put the foam on the bottom and clean it regularly. If it is your biological filter, clean it in a large bowl or bucket of the water you take out of the tank during a water change, to ensure you don't kill the bacteria. I actually use the foam block for the 300, because the 200's always floated up.

Do not use the amrid/zeolite. That is for freshwater only.

thanks
