Aquaclear/Saltwater Use

I am getting rid of my aquaclear 500 and the guy who I may give it too wants to know whether he could use it on his saltwater tank. Can he? I think all he'd need to do is buy new filter media and wash the filter out....

Yes he can use it on a SW tank. Just clean it out and rinse the foam cartridges.

I am going to convert a fw to sw and will use 2 aqua clear 300 do I still use the foam and charcoal and do I clean the foam each water change as I do for fw?
