AquAdvisor - software to help you stock your tanks!

Haha.. it says I can have 95 rasboras in a 46 gallon tank. If only!

yhbae - interesting how this project has turned into a bit of coding and a lot of database creation. Then again I think the database creation and modification is going to be an eternal project. There are only a couple different species of fish after all.

Once you get to about version 1.5, I think you'll have a pretty good product at the rate your going.

I expected to spend a lot of time creating and fine tuning the DB - after all, this is essentially a knowledge database of fishes with a front end GUI. Calculating the bioload was the easy part - determining the potential conflicts between species is the hard part, which can only be achieved by providing more knowledge attributes for each species.

Over time, I hope it will become something that would be useful for many people. Oh, and I do use it too... :D

Just noticed you have Firemouths at 9" - needs amending to 6". Just a heads up that some of the larger cichlids tend to have slightly larger males too - not sure if this is taken into account.

Will change it - thanks. I too have noticed the size differences for some cichlids. So far, I have been using the average of male and female size. Not sure if it is worth while to introduce gender specific size factor.
