I think you need some vertical structure: either some driftwood or some rock formations (or both)

I'm not a fan of artificial looking things, so I'd replace the blue gravel with some natural colored stuff. . .

Driftwood is the way to go. You also need some broad leaf plant. I concur with the rest about gravel, try black or the 'natural color'

I had a tank once with about 80% black and 20% blue gravel mixed up, looked kinda cool. with your current setup you could just add a bit more eco complete and mix it all up.
