aquarium coffee table

You may have to put something flat in the table for the stump to sit on. I have the one that looks like a log and when I first got it I just set it on the gravel and it kept falling over. I had to remove the gravel and set it flat on the bottom for it to stay standing. The problem with putting a flat surface in that is there would be a bunch of empty space due to the shape of the bowl.

Wow, some people just... well nevermind.

Don't let it get to you. People voice their opinions about things, sure some people go about it the wrong way, but if you like how this will look and are willing to work a little harder to care for the fish, that's for you to decide. Good luck!

P.S. Any thought as to what fish you are going to put in there?

not yet. first i would like to set it up and see how it all looks while its cycling. there wont be too many options being i believe its only 15 gallon. but i think some dayglo danios. small, schooling, playful, and colorful... those should suit it fine. plus they like to hang at the middle/top so i should be able to see them just fine. adding a blacklight would make it that mush more impressive too...

i also agree that condensation will be a big problem, unless you keep your house at tropical temps all the time.

Don't most folks? I keep mine between 78-80 this time of year. Isn't that the norm?

No that's not normal, lol. At least not where I'm from. Maybe where you are from people like to sweat while relaxing in their recliner watching TV, but here in WA we keep our houses around 70 so we can be comfortable, lol.

how much did you buy it for if you don't mind my asking?

Yeah, most people keep their houses at around 20 C here. I haven't heard of anyone's house being as warm as 80 F.

I think that if you can make it work- and it seems at this point that you can- it will be very pretty!

The only thing I see wrong with it is the constant banging of cups on the table. That might annoy the fish. I think if you did it right you could make it work.
