Aquarium Cover

Does anyone know how to cover a 20G tank set-up?

1-- I have a Whisper Hang-On filter on the Left Rear Corner of the tank and 6 more chords and tubing of Heater, Aeration tubes, CO2 tube lines and Moonlight power chords.

2-- I have Two-Single Tube Strip Lights.

You can do a few things. You can make a canopy for the top of the tank or you can use some plexi-glass to make covers for it. Plexi is easier to use than glass since you can cut it any way you want for your equipment.

These work great, i use 2 strip lights on mine, they fit but tight, and the plastic strip on the back can be cut for custom openings. Good deal too, some LFS have them also.

Or you can get a piece of plexi glass from Home Depot and cut it to your size.

or you can just leave it open. its a idea. unless you have a fish that will jump out it will keep the tank cooler if you live in a hot place. i like canopys. they make the tank look nice. you can install lights in them which make it even better. the next thing i would do i get glass. have a glass company cut some the size you need. i had a plexi glass lid i didnt like it. it was diry. like you couldnt see thought it very good. i dont know if it was just the kind i got or what. the next thing is what i did. its really ghetto. i used to crates like ones from the supermarket. they are about a foot tall and they are made up of a bunch of x's like a chain link fence. its not pretty but it worked for the 2 weeks i had it on there.

I have one of these tops and its awesome! I have it on my 10 gallon and I got the top at a LFS. The back cuts easily for filter and heaters!

I'll second that. Our first tank (my wife's) came with this. I just hung everything on the back, then cut out openings to fit exactly using a Dremel Moto-Tool and a fresh cutoff wheel (the fibre-reinforced one used for cutting metals...wear eye protection!). If you make a mistake, that backsplash (the plastic on the back) is easily replaced. I have exact cuts for the air hoses, wiring, Bio-Wheel 30, and HOT Magnum filter...evaporation losses are now non-existant.
