Aquarium Hood

I am looking for a couple of hoods for my 75g. it has a split in the middle, and the 2 areas to either side inside the lip measure 22x16". not that i can find a hood that is that size. Do i just have a weird tank, or what? I can't use a normal full hood for it because the beam that splits the 2 sides is flush with the top lip.

Have you looked at the all glass versa top? I saw one at lfs the other day on a large tank. It had the center brace in that tank and they had one of the vera top's on it with a triple tube light fixture sitting on top of it. I happened to look at the set up because I hope to find room in my home for a 75 to 100 gallon tank in the near future.

yeah, i was browsing my plethora of aquarium supply catalogs and i found one. they sure aren't cheap tho. lol.

making a hood isnt too hard with basic knowledge of wiring, the hardest part is making the housing if you want it really nice, otherwise use guttering as the housing.

i think i'm going to get the one out of the catalog. it'll just be easier to do, and i dont wanna hassle with re-creating the oak trim. and ive already got bulbs for it on order.
