Hi all,

this is a follow up on:
http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180907

So i have changed my tank's layout. Before it was just wild growth
all over the place. No structure.. Now i have changed it so that the plant types are grouped tougheter. And i made some sort of bowl shape.
So the sides willl have the larger plants and the middle will be open.
I made a "focal" point left of the center of the tank with the drift wood+
white rocks.

I was busy all Saturday. I first removed about 40% of the water and put it in a large container. Then i removed the bulk of the plants.
After that it was fish catching time.... hours later all the fish were in with the plants. Then i moved the heater in the large container to keep the temp up while i was busy with the main tank.

I then removed about 5G more of water and saved it for later re-filling.
The rest of the water i removed and dumped. I left 5 cm of water in the tank. I then did a extra good gravel cleaning.... :)

Then i moved the gravel out of the way and placed soil in the tank for my plants.. Expensive japanese stuff. about $40,- per 8kg... So i hope it is going to work well.. I then covered this back up (mostly) with the gravel.
This soil is black and with the gravel it makes a nice contrast. And my Yoyo's are almost invisable when they are on the bottom.. :)

I then planted the plants as i planned the day before. I made some sketch to help me.
After more hours i refilled the tank about 25% and then moved the heater back in and waited for the temp to be 25 Celcius..

I then turned the canister filter back on, and moved the fish back in the tank. Followed by the water from the container.

I put a power head + filter in the tank (seen on right side of video) to help clear things up. I will remove it next weekend..

The intake of the canister filter is now hidden by the large plants on the right. And my hope is that the heater will also become hidden later by the plants i put near it.

Death and live statistics during this change...
0 deaths (it is now almost 3 days since the change)
9 new born guppies..

Yes.. after i moved out the plants and the fish i found 9 guppy fry that i did not see before i started... :)

So i hope the plants will grow nicely the way I hope for...

Below the before and after results on video
