I just bought Aquarium Salt. I was reading some stuff about it just now and it says aquarium salt isn't good with plants. :( I have like 5 plants with 2 female guppies, 4 zebra danios and 5 white clouds. Should I still put the aquarium salt in? Also. How much for 20 gallon? And how much do I add after water changes too?

I would salt those fishes for 2 reasons

1. They are sick with something like ich
2. You want to eat them

Adding salt for "preventive" reasons is silly. Fish in the wild don't have salt added to their water and they survive just fine. Hold onto that box (it won't go bad) and if you need to medicate your fish then use it.

As for plants, the level of slat used for treatments is much lower than the level that will hurt plants.
