I want to make a DIY CO2 reactor/injector and I have read a couple of places that you can buy aquarium safe silicone at places like Lowe's and HomeDepot. If so, what brands has anyone had success with? Thanks in advance.

We have always used Dow Corning brand - just make sure you get the non-toxic type.

I use GE 100% Silicone I. They sell it at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc....

Make sure whatever you get, it says "100% silicone" on it and doesn't mention any additive to fight fungus or mildew. Those will poison your tank.

I have used the clear GE Silicone II for doors and windows. This also is 100% silicone with no additives for mildew prevention and such.
