Ok i have never ever tested my water in my tanks, And i have never had a problem, What should i test my tanks for? I dont got the $$ to buy a whole test kit, And i know not to get the strips.. what would you buy if you were me?

IMO I think once a tank is set-up and running well, pH and nitrate would be the most important. The AP master test kit is really good though and not that expensive.

Be sure to read the test instructions fully before testing. Especially the nitrate test.

For a well established tank, with a regimented maintenance routine and an observant caretaker, you could get away with just a monthly nitrate.

But for the majority that are involved in the hobby, it is prudent to have ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH test kits.

Man i wish i had a petsmart around hear, Thanks anyways, I will try to get pH and nitrate tests, Or how are the shiping rates of petsmart?
