Hello all, my name is Ben and live in Milwaukee, WI. As the title says, I am completely new to this hobby. I have seen a couple of my friends set-ups, but never had anything of my own. I have had pets before, just nothing that swims (i.e. dogs, birds, cats, salamander)

I have been trolling around this forum for a few days now, and decided to bite the bullet and join. ALOT of useful info on here that I have read/found so far.

Anyways, hello... and I'll try to use the search function before I ask :thumbsup:

ogh and I have an empty 55 gal w/stand that stares at me everyday when I get home
 
Hi Ben, welcome to AC!! I know you'll enjoy getting to know all the great people here who are so helpful! I know I have. Oh and just so you know, we are all going to expect pics of that tank after it's set up! lol.
 
Hello and welcome to AC. You should definitely set that 55 up soon and think about what fish to put in it. oh yeah, and don't forget pics when you do.
 
I wish I started off with a 55gal! You have lots of choices and you better take advantage of it ;)

As far as the fish go, I was thinking more along the lines of a community tank. Not to interested in just having two or three big fish. I have yet to decide what I want my tank to look like.

Of course I will post pictures when its done.... just don't hold your breath. I have a big problem with being really lazy :nono:
