Aquariums in bars

I went back last night. They have a big tank in the wall between this sectioned off room ( so you can see it in the bar and in the room) that has a male and female oscar. I'm guessing the tank is around 125+. They have another that looks like a 40g high that has some smaller fish I still haven't got a good look at yet.

I seriously don't think the oscar tank even had a filter. Just a power head towards the top of the tank.

The best japanese restaurant in town has 3 small tanks in the one wall (with fish eye glass to make them look bigger, 3 large tanks on another wall (2 salt with huge beautiful fish and 1 african with less large/old fish). and a large stream (3 feet wide and about 15-20' long) you have to cross to get to your table.

No public establishment like a bar/eatery/ whatnot would be the worse off for having a cool tank set up for the customer's enjoyment.

At one time I ran a lounge, and I slapped a 30 gal cichlid tank behind the bar. My tips went up, because of it. And it wuz cool.

Almost any place is better with a properly set up tank in it, eh? ;)
