I have had too many people around in the club have issues using prime. Aged water with Stress coat.

The only way I can see someone having issues using Prime is if they are using it wrong. I used Prime with the most sensitive of fish and not had a problem....this is all FW of course.

The other reason, as I have seen, is that some people are so set in their ways and dislike change, they make up problems for a reason not to change.

But really, I see no way to screw up the use of Prime, unless they can't read the bottle or are too lazy to measure doses.

It probably has to do with being used to using a solution which requires 5-10x as much to dose your water.

But I don't see how you can screw it up badly enough to cause a problem(other than with your wallet). You can(and I did, while I was battling a nitrite issue) dose at 5x and not risk your fish.

"Prime™ is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Prime™ removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Prime™ converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank’s biofilter. Prime™ may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Prime™ detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. It will also detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels. Prime™ also promotes the production and regeneration of the natural slime coat. Prime™ is non-acidic and will not impact pH. Prime™ will not overactivate skimmers. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water."
