Hi ppl,

I'm looking for pictures of tank setups for silver dollars that replicate their natural environment. If you have any links, pics, or general advice I'd greatly appreciate. And yes, I do know that they are herbivorous but I'd like to include plants if possible. Looking for some quick responses.

Thanks in advance.

they will probably eat/destroy all of the plants. not sure how it looks in the wild but im imagining natral looking pebbles driftwood and long tall plants, you will probably have to go with silks.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I have always wanted to put my Silvers in a tank with black sand, black background. I think a school of them would look beautiful against the black. BTW they eat anything and everything. They are voracious little buggers. I gave up on live plants a long time ago. I even tried to divert their eating with other veggies and leafy stuff - they just ate those too :)

Yo! That was one LARGE fish!!

Well, I'm hoping mine only reach 4-5 inches. BTW, I'm going to try to keep some plants with the SD's just to see what's possible and what's not.
