Ok- after a backbreaking day that included one wracked back, a blown elbow, and 20+ blows with a sledgehammer I have rescaped my tank.

It only took a million trips up and down a stepladder carrying tremendously heavy rocks. Anyone ever rig an engine lift to do this crap? Am I the only one skipping a gym day after aquascaping? Am I that big a wimp?

At any rate- please tell me it looks better?

Yes, better. [he cringes, worrying about being slapped] Could you open up the pile on the left a little. It looks a bit dense to me.

It does look dense.
I can't get a camera in the right angle, but there is considerable swimming space between the two bottom pieces- I can fit my hand in between with room to spare. But I'll play around with it a bit the next time I "go in" so it is visually more open.

And I can't slap you, Dave- I can barely raise my arm.
