My first online order for plants, I made a purchase on Saturday 23 August, 2008 Will post pictures as soon as they arrive.
I only ordered a Java Fern as a trial order, it was only $3.99 with free shipping so I couldn't pass that up.
Local stores sell Java Ferns for about $6 bucks and they all look like crap..
So I figure I would get one from a online dealer.
They say they have 10 leaves on the Java Fern, so we will see after I receive my plant. Anyone else care to share there review please do and post pictures if you can.

I also talked with someone from Aquatic magic threw email, we sent emails back and forth about 6 times within 30 Min's and I got all my questions answered with honesty. Very good customer service.

They ship from Malaysia. Free shipping from Malaysia would probably be extremely slow. Just to give you a heads up.

Yeah I know, my wife is from Indonesia so I know how long things can take shipping out that far away.
As long as the plants are alive and healthy is all that really matters.

Not really sure about the free shipping thing, my mom works at the post office and even she doesn't know how they can ship with free shipping and make any kind of profit by selling cheap plants.

I ordered a Windelov Fern from that seller, just another type of java fern.

Shipping was slow, but free.

The portion I received was more than I expected which is a definite plus.

All of the original leaves on my plants were spotted brown (from the heat?) and eventually died, but the rhizomes have since multiplied a lot.

Overall I would definitely order from that seller again.

I just received some stuff from them a couple of days ago (weeping moss, java fern, and anubias lanceoleta (sp?)), all surprising healthy considering the 2 weeks spent in shipping, the customs stamp said it came from Singapore, and they're all doing great in my tank so far. Wish the moss had been a bigger portion, but everything else was nice sized and it's all healthy...I'll just have to wait for the moss to propagate on it's own to get the coverage I want. I can post pics tomorrow, about to hit the sack tonight. What surprised me the most is I was expecting a small box and it came in a very flat envelope labeled "Aquarium decorations"...they perked up after being soaked though :)

Let me know how well your moss grows, I almost ordered the Christmas moss but it said it was only a 2"x2" piece, not sure if it was a loose bunch or a tight bunch so I ordered the Java Fern instead. I call everywhere in Seattle and Snohomish county and no one can even order anything besides Java Moss...

I notice your in Washington, I got some Plant Fluorite Substrate for sale if interested, just to let you know encase you where looking.

Wow it's free shipping to the US? I'm located in HK and had to pay about US$10 bucks for shipping and I'm in Asia. I bought a couple marimo balls from them and they are doing well and larger than I expected which was good.
I also expected a small box but received a packet of 'aquarium decorations' but the plants was fine after some soaking.

The moss was a fairly thick 2"x2"...I just wanted to cover the surface of a rock the size of a softball with it :P. Here's pics as promised...the weeping moss looks happily patchy at the moment, someday it will be thick and fluffy! And a cameo by Freddie because he's just too darn good looking to leave out of any photo spread. The java fern is about 7" tall, the anubias is like 4-5" tall. Sorry to say I don't need the flourite, I'm happy with my sand/eco-complete combo :). Another good plant source is people here on AC. I ordered some from Fordtrannyman and got some beautiful plants shipped very quickly that way if you're ever in more of a hurry. Also, if my moss takes off and I start actually trimming it, I can donate some to your cause if you like the weeping moss...sounds like you're in Seattle if that's where you were calling around and I'm in Tacoma. I can deliver for a little gas money...my car is relatively cheap to operate (40+mpg). Good luck :)

Does it pay?
I can pick up in LFS java moss for like $5.
Also,
From what I saw at the LFS the Java Fern has some brown spots on it, should I wait for a new batch?
