So I went to the nations gun show on saturday in VA and found a company I haven't heard of yet, Del-Ton Inc. They started with rifle kits and now make the full guns. I've read some good reviews and then some bad but does anyone have one out there? They run about $700 come with a hard case and a lifetime warranty. I also found a DPMS for about the same price so I'm kind of back and forth. I was thinking about building one but for right now $700 is a great price, it all depends on what I have saved in February

Real battle rifles make .30 cal holes! Btw is that gun legal in MD? It's not a state known for accepting the RTKBA!

Non collapsible stock semi auto M4's are legal. Full auto and you need a tax stamp. I have heard good and bad things about DPMS too. Never heard of Del-Ton and my job gave me a Colt M4 LEO model so that's what I shoot. DPMS is part of that Remington firearms conglomerate. Check out MDshooters.com you may get better info their then here. But be prepared to get may suggestions for 1K rifles like Rock River.

I have heard Rock River AR's are nice but I feel like at that point I should just go buy the upper and lower that I liked at the gunshow and spend around $1200. I'm still going back and forth about piecing together my own or saving time and getting something like the Del-Ton for $700. Theres so many AR's out there the choices are unbelieveable.

I really want that LMT lower with the SOPMOD stock and 2 seperate upper's chambered in 5.56 nato and 6.8 SPC.

An old friend of mine had a Colt M4 leo with the LMT stock and thats where I fell for that stock. I was looking at the Magpul stocks at the show too.

Trust me I've done my research when it comes to firearms laws in Maryland, I do not want to mess around with anything that can get me put away quick and for a long time. I really just need to move to Pennsylvania or Virginia

Unless your a man hunter their is no need for a 6.8 SPC. While it would be cool to say I have one that is a round with purpose and wasn't designed for sport shooters.. As yet you can't hunt with it. I would stick with a .223. You can save money and put it into other areas of the rifle. I checked Del-Ton site and they don't ship to MD but you may be able to go through a FFL. I was wrong on the collapsible stock point. Your Rifle has to have a overall length of 26" with a 16" barrel length. But people put too much into stocks AR/M4 dont kick that much. But I have only shot a .223 so I don't know how the others kick the only thing I would do is get a Vltor stock butt pad.

I have a FFL that my dad and brother in law have used in the past but I'm going to talk to the business that was selling them at the gun show and see if theyre going to be back in the area anytime soon. I dont want the stock for recoil comfort, more of a better cheek rest when looking down the sights. I've got my old Lee Enfield MK III that kicks like a mule but I'll shoot it all day because its fun, I know a .223 won't have more kick than a .303 british

Just looked up the Vltor stock and I do remember seeing a lot at the show. I might have to look more into those too. Lewis Machine's SOPMOD stock is pretty high since its going for about $180-240..... which is why I want their lower with it for about $540

I need a cheek pad myself. As I am a cheap ******* and will not be running the through the wilds of Afghanistan. I am going to purchase a CCA cheek pad. It should work fine in the wilds of Montgomery County. Plus my Dept. doesn't really like us changing function parts.

Haha depending on where you are theres 2 different types of wild up that way

I still need to find a decent rifle range around here that doesnt require a membership. 30 yds at my uncles house isn't too much fun.
