the 6.8 spc is a great round, just overly priced for anything but hunting.

If i was going to get another AR, it would be an AR-10 in .308. Extra power, and relative low cost.

Granted...i would still have my first in .223

I think the 6.8 would be an awesome caliber in a contender ..The .270 bullet would be great at ranges encountered with the contender and would be more useful in hunting .. I would think it would be great for hound hunting lions and bears [my sport ] In a semi auto it couldn`t help but be an improvement ... AR-10 I have no experience with personally I like the M1A, FN-LAR,and the Galial sp[Israeli AK] I try to like the HK 93 but it tears up the brass and has a poor trigger pull ... The best gun for a gun fight of course is the gun you have with you and not the million dollar scope sighted whatever at home in the closet

That looks amazing. I'm hoping to step mine up to that level pretty soon but whoever put the stock on mine didn't place it right and the buffer retainer and spring are popping out and either rattling around or getting stuck up inside of the bolt carrier, so once that's covered and my play money is replenished enough I'll be ready to add some more accessories. I'm thinking of going with the Magpul MBUS rear sight as a starter so I can actually fire accurately haha. I'm hoping to get a good pic up here soon but so far they're all terrible with my phone.

And I didn't end up going to the Harrisburg gun show because I'd just purchased this so hopefully one will pop up soon

Both are great looking pieces I prefer the ar10 to the ar15 myself.

But my sights are set on an ar in 30-06

For a good sight, I typically put a EOtech red dot uptop and get a 4x magnifier for it so i can get both short distance accuracy, and longer range accuracy.

I would guess that the 308 will do everything the 30-06 will do in a neater more modern package ... The Lewis machine [I misspoke in my last post] I would buy in an AR .. I have found that the folding stocks are not near as accurate as the fixed and I found my self always reaching for the HBAR The answer of course is have both ... I personally couldn`t leave the M4 alone and would have to do a parts change .. They keep cutting the AR up and changing calibers some day they will end up with a FNLAR..
