AR 15 info

Vicious, that's beautiful too!

For a good sight, I typically put a EOtech red dot uptop and get a 4x magnifier for it so i can get both short distance accuracy, and longer range accuracy.

Thanks. I also have DSA SA58 in .308 with an EOtech and 3x magnifier on a quick release mount.

Now that's what I'm talkin about :)

And to answer Sand Crab, why 30-06? because everyone has .308...i like being different...besides I have a crap ton of 30-06 as I reload it for my garand. It would be nice to have a more modern platform to shoot it in.

They have a nice 30-06 made out of steel .. Its called the B.A.R. They should bring that back in semi auto ...

So I got home today, fixed the buffer pin issue and added my brand new Magpul MBUS back up sight. Looks great but I still have to make that firing pin works. Hopefully I'll be able to do that on Christmas eve and take a good pic while it's daylight

Didn't read through the entire thread so im not sure what you purchased, but when i built my AR i went with nearly all Bravocompany parts. After all of the research i did last year i learned that Bravocompany was one of the few companies that was making parts to mil spec for a great price. Delton, rock river, ETC do not make the parts to MIL SPEC.

Oh and the hottest caliber out is the new .300BLK by AAC(Remington)
.30 caliber AR that uses standard mags and really throws some lead around :D
(Its basically a .300 whisper)
This is my BCM(Bravocompany) AR in 5.56 with an Aimpoint T1 and a few Magpul goodies.

Just an FYI. Milspec doesn't mean good. It just means it meets a certain criteria at a certain price.

they do have it back, its 3K and I've held one at a Local shop.

But...its wicked heavy and isn't something I could easily take to the range lol

I haven't read more into this new round, but will when time permits. We had a nice .30 cal round that the ar would gladly shoot....the .30 carbine..why re-invent the wheel?

You sweet talker you !!! Who makes the B.A.R. ?? Not Browning Winchester ..Maybe you could put wheels on it and pull it behind your S.U.V.. Once you got it to the range what a pleasure to shoot ... Yes they were big and that`s why the ones you find are often cut down ..

I do not know who makes it as of now, But I will find out ha!

But back on topic here, yes just because it says's mil-spec doesn't mean that the parts are of good quality.

i have been finding that many of the AR parts are made by only a few companies, and rebadged, so it's possible to find some good parts if you know what to look for.

Never the less, The AR is a great platform, and i think everyone should own atleast one!

The B.A.R is a big boys toy .. Wait till you go prone with that bad boy at the range ..Or shooting from the hip as it was designed ... You could probably pull the trigger as fast as it shot on full auto .. [Its not the same tho ]Of course the greatest 30-06 of all the 1919 A. One of the guns the Fed and I didn`t see eye to eye on Thank god for Dillon reloaders..
