lol, agree, he's getting bigger.

Filled the second tank with Water Hyacinth, at least a start with cleaning and growing plants.
Need to hurry on the bog, water is greenish from the algae, but solids are getting less and less.
Took a glass of water from the pond yesterday and it's really only very fine particles still inside.

Busy week though, so I guess it has to wait till Saturday.
Might squeeze some extra time early morning or afternoon, but the goal is Saturday for now.
Looking at how fast the plants in my small bog at home are shooting up, it will be fun to watch that bog go out of control with plants.
With a bit of luck, I can clean up that side by Saturday and have it ok and ready for the time being.
Still some steel to cut away and then cutting the liner to size and shaping the sides with sand.
Fill up the area with the remaining gravel.
Get a 1" Tee for connecting the pump and valves properly to the bog.
Drill some holes in the settling tank for water-hose and cables.
Looks like a nice list of work for Saturday...
Every time I look at that bog, it looks a bit like an infinity pool, level and the back-side are just about even...Cant wait to see that growing in.

Cheers, back to work.

You'd better get us at least three threads worth of pictures from that bog when it's got plants in it... :D

Well pictures have to wait a bit, but first plants are in. Fast growers, aggressive maybe, but I need it to start cleaning fast. Looks great. Two umbrella palm, Thalia and a reed. Then two low growers.
Want to see how that grows in and then add more floaters with roots in the gravel.
Of course part of the bog will have a bit more depth, to fill it up with Lotus.
In one settling tank I have it full with water hyacinth, so let the battle for algae begin...

lol, sounds awesome! Can't wait to see the pics... btw, remember to get "before and after" pics so you can compare the beginning plants to what it looks like years from now (I regret that with all my tanks I ever set up).

Lol....will be months if not weeks, sure not years... This is tropical Thailand...fast growers put in about 20cm per week once established...
my bog at home put a meter in about 4 weeks from just starting the bog.

Will keep an eye and camera on it.
Cheers,

 I think the pictures will do the talking mostly. This is what I hoped for..we're seeing the end of it.
