Are angels right for my tank?

everyone has thier own opinion, and what works for some may not work for others and vise versa. just do it and see what happens. it may work out for you.

while people have different opinions, fish are the same in their needs!

your tank is o.k. as it is (unless the lobster decides to go on a killing spree)
and yes angels are very cool fish- try to scrape up some $$ for a 20gal tall and hold a breeding pair of angels

Silver dollars should really be in a school. If you add any thing to your tank you should add more of them!

I put an electric blue lobster in my tank Friday and this morning (Monday) I caught him attacking my angels so out he went. I don't suggest putting angels with those. Angels do indeed get very large. My largest being the size of my hand. I have 5 and so far they are very peaceful, but they have not reached spawning age yet. I think the tank you have is probably too small for several, but you could probably keep one. They say you should either keep one angel or several (more than 3) to keep the agressiveness down.

Matt, kissing gouramis grow very large, I'd trade them in for something smaller. The crayfish may hurt your fish eventually, they'll grab anything they can get a hold of. SD's get too large for a 20g (around the size of a salad plate), and as Crabbypatty pointed out they're best in a group. Unfortunately, with a 20g tank, there's not enough room to add more.
If you liked the rams you saw, a nice mix for your tank might be something like a small group of tetras, a pair of rams and a couple corys.
