I know most puffers are..

I'm setting up a 29G for my Dragon Goby, am I going to have trouble with Figure8s picking him to death?

I cant' help it, any time I go to the pet store they always catch my eye. They're just really cool fish.. but the main reason I'm setting up this 29 is so my dragon goby has a place of his own, if the puffers are going to pick on him or even get in his way it's not going to be worth it.

Never owned a FW/Brackish puffer before. I tried one in my reef a while back and he was a major ***hole.

I have my DG in a 29g w/2 F8s. There are tons of hiding places. He is fine--they aren't bothering him. But... you knever know with puffers...

They hide most of the day anyway. I've never seen my puffers go after my goby. All but 1 of a dozen or so bumblebee gobies seem to have dissappeared though.

Its hit or miss. Many keep small fish like BB's with their Fig8's. Some can't. The first time I introduced BB Gobys into my puffer tank (5 of them) 1 ended up dead the next day with a large bite mark on its back. However, many months now later I still have all the rest of the BB's and havent had any problems. I have 3 Fig8's together and 4 BB's.

I usually prefer to keep brackish puffers alone. I've had trouble with GSP and fig8's gettiong along with other fish in seperate 55 gallon tanks. But maybe you can try it out and watch carefully for the first couple of hours-good luck.

I put green spotted puffer in my semi aggresive communtity and they were picking on my oscar and a few cichlids i had in the tank at the time. They were cool but i ended up getting rid of them.
