Hi guys,

My betta Cosmo never bothers my olive and zebra nerite snails. But I would like to know if he would bother a couple of horned nerite snails, since they are smaller?

Thanks,
Patty

I had a horned nerite with my betta, Louie, for years. No bites or damage. Small, small nerites might be a snack, though. My betta ate small MTS like it was 1995.

Yes, agree with "Rufioman". Except I have never seen small Nerites, all have been about 1/2" round at least.

Thank you for your help!

He's right. Smaller nerites are difficult to find. They do not expose nearly as much flesh as the mystery snails or anything else, too. My nerite was a 1/2 incher in with my betta, rams, and other assorted snail biters. Not a single time did I see them go at it. My MTS sure, but only the itty bitty guys. Everyone eats MTS anyways.
