Went to LFS today & they had a bunch of used hardware 4 sale.
I bought a used Maxi Jet 1000 for $5.00.

got it running in bucket now w/ fresh tap water to flush it out.
Works really good (powerful)
I was just wondering if this thing was submersible? Didn't think about it @ LFS.

Also, anyone know what a 1000 liters would be in gallons?

I would say no. People have said to have water movement about 10 times the size of your tank. So you would need around 290 gph, which is close to what that pump puts out max.

MJ1000 is the slightly smaller version of the MJ1200, I dont believe they are still made BTW.

It is submersible, just like all powerheads.

What are you talking about Rucca?!?! This is the Marine Newbie Forum; this is the place where newbies can come to ask ANY question they want....without having to deal with harrassment by you or anyone else. Period.

Don't do it again DREW.

Relax Rucca. You will get nowhere on this forum with that kind of attitude.
