I am not new to saltwater aquariums as I have been running a Fowler tank for 3 years now although I've thought about a reef tank I am unsure if some of my fish are compatible with the corals and invertinrates that are in a reef system I want so here the list of fish I have
2 large lionfish
1 medium niger trigger
1 medium huma huma trigger
3 large damsels
1 medium porcupine puffer
2 large stripped catfish

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

Corals, maybe.

Inverts, doubt it. Porcupine Puffer alone makes the tank not invert-safe.

That said, you don't necessarily need all the inverts that a reef tank often has. If you have a store near you that sells cheap frags ($10-20) you could test a bunch out on the fish. The Triggers and Porcupine will be the ones to watch out for. I've heard of people keeping them in reef tanks though.

Yeah that's what I thought to I was worried more about the trigger and puffer I may try some corals I can get them a little cheaper than that I have bought so Mich fish stuff she gives me deals LOL I have a Kenya tree in there and they javnt bothered it so idk
