Okay awesome. That's why I wanted to get one or two. My sand is getting kind of gross and it looks unkept. My hermits don't bother with it too much anymore. I want something to bury and move the sand around a bit. Thanks!
I would avoid the sand sifter sea star as most people don't have the best luck keeping one.
I have about 10 of the nasarisus snails in my 55 gallon and they seem to do fine. They usually only come out at night and spend the rest of the time cruising around under the sand.
I LOVE my nassarius snails. I had some astera snails also, but they kept killing themselves by falling upside down and not being able to turn back over! :wall: I am planning on getting more because I have a larger tank now. You should definitely get some of these. They are also fun to watch during feeding time because they come out of the substrate to "look" for food!
