Oh what a bummer!

Sorry for mixing the threads up here - any ideas if Chicken Liver is safe for my Fronts and cichlids ?

Oh what a bummer!

yeah its really sad and (if I may use the word) 'Stupid' - Thats why I try my best to collect some good live foods and I'm trying to freeze my own cubes of Bloodworms...

There is a person in a City (very far away from the place where I live) who imports Hikari Frozen Mysis Shrimps and Bloodworms, illegally but he is asking a huge price for them. He says that the minimum qty that I would have to buy is one full box of 12 trays with 32 cubes each and the price he is asking is about 5000 in my currency ! (That would be 100 USD) plus another 1000 for shipping them to me (another 20 USD) !!!

Dont really have any experience with chicken liver...I know of sure you cant give it to any other of your cichlids that are herbivores they may become bloated....

dont feed chicken livers aye, very bad ideal, if thats the case only feed the pellets and flakes and catch your live foods, i wouldnt deal with that person who is doing stuff illegal you could be implemented with them i dont know about you but i wouldnt want to be in a cell with bubba in your country, over illegal frozen foods..

Thanks again for the kind replies, Friends !

Kindly advice on what other veggies are good and safe for Fronts and Labs (I have them in a seperate tank) :)

I personally wouldn't specifically or intentionally feed frontosa's veggies. Frontosas are piscovores in nature so any vegatable matter they'd consume would be found inside the bellies of the smaller fish they eat. A quality pellet food would do.

It's too bad you can't get frozen fish food in your area.

I'd avoid giving them chicken livers. Something like chopped raw shrimp and the like from the seafood market would be better for them as an occasional treat.

How big are your frontosas?

than i would stick with the staple of flakes and pellets for now peas would be good for herbivores but fronts are not herbivores they are piscivores like kay-bee stated i understand you are limited to what you have at your disposal and i understand you mean well but with out the correct knowledge you will harm your fish more bad than good i do understand thats why you are asking questions here on AC forum but look into the history and nature of lake tanganyika and frontosa profiles you will have a better understanding if you havent done so already but from your earlier posts it sounds like you have access to flakes and pellets stick with that routine for now as for they have the nutrition they need and is formulated for them.
