Never eaten escargo but if it is anything like the little octopus my son dared me to eat at the buffet they would be pretty chewy,good flavor though .

seems like a lot of time starvation and lack of grub is related to lack of water, so the snails might be hard to farm. dunno, but I like the way you think anyways!

Ditto on the Octopus thing. Chewy but good.

ew, yuck, no. i was forced to eat octopus once. one of the nastiest things i've ever put in my mouth >_<

I like octopus. A bit tough to chew sometimes, but they taste good. Don't think I've tried snails though.
