Some genetically modified / glow fish are illegal in the UK, the red danio is a common one which is illegal, aswell as some varieties of crayfish...specifically, the ones listed below are illegal in the UK..

is there nothig that will see a snake head as prey over there i thaught you had aligators and some big gars that would be able to eat them ???

a 15-25" northern wont have many predators out there..and a 3-4 foot micropeltes(red line, or giant) certainly has no predators out there. if they spread to where gators and gator gars are, i could see a gar going for a small northers, but definitely not a giant. SH's are a very powerful fish..even if i was a gator gar i wouldn't mess with one.

i'm not sure if cobra SH 's made there way to the states..but even they wouldn't have many predators..most of the US fish are fairly small..the largest being the sturgeon, gator gar, and the muske..

There are about 50 species I believe. Some grow to only about 20 cm but plenty grow pretty big for the home aquaria.
