are the cookie cutter setups on the cichlid forum reliable?

are those properly stocked? i was gonna do the angelfish one under 55 gallons.

yes a 55 for a pair of angels in a Community set up
 
I'd say they are more guidelines than absolute...which goes for about any stocking suggestion out there you can find. I know that I've looked at their Tang setups and I'm not considerably fond of them.

I wouldn't, for example, put four angels and four rams into a 55g long term. Maybe keep a pair of each once they paired up, and then add more of the corys and otos instead. But then again I'm also a more conservative stocker than some others.

Totally. A pair of each of those would be a great way to do it.
