Are the More "Expensive" Valves Worth It?

I am currently in the plumbing phase of my 95 gal corner aquarium. I am shopping for plumbing materials and have found a big price variation on ball valves. For example, Hayward brand tru union ball valves run about 80$ for a 1.25" unit whereas the ones at the local Loews plumbing section run about 18$. Is the extra money for the added features in the "better brand" worth it over the long haul? Any help would be appreciated.

dont pay for a brand name if you can avoid it but you have to look for quality. if you know a plumber id ask he/she whats a good quality one for a good price. ive found with plumbing you can afford to go cheep when it comes to quality but you can shop around for the best price. cheaper ones tend to stop working over a year or so and can also just ware out. its really up to you how much to spend. id get a professional opinion on a few from someone and go from there...hope i helped.
