I have a case of brown algae in my new 55 gallon tank, i do water changes weekly try to clean as much as i can and by the next day its back, now its growing on the gravel and my decorations and its an eyesoar, are there any algae eaters that like this stuff, and how can i possibly get rid of it?

I had a HUGE problem with brown algae in my 30 gal. I bought 4 otos, which do perfectly fine with my cories, and one bushy nose pleco. They cleaned up the entire tank within 2 or 3 days!
yea they should be fine with your other tank mates. I did read that someone had a problem with the ottos attaching themselves to other fish ion the tank and killing them as a result, but I only read this behavior once and think it is extremely rare. Check out my sig, I have ottos and cory's and they play fine.
Clawlan Ive heard of that too but I think it was because of starvation or something like that...so just make sure to feed them more than just algae (which wont last very long anyways)
