I know how you feel. I am no longer a teenager now, but I actually started the hobby when I was 8 years old, reefs when I was around 10. I was treated like an imbecile by most people. There were a few people that actually took the time to talk with me and found out that I was quite knowledgeable, especially for my age at the time. The only thing I can recommend is that you continue with your success. Wait until your tank is looking its best and bring a photo there and let that speak for itself. You don't even have to say anything. I was accomplishing things at 10, 11, and 12 years old that many veterans could only dream of. People just automatically assume younger people are ignorant and irresponsible (while that may be true most of the time, it is consistent enough to make a bias). Just make an example of yourself and your tank and prove them wrong the right way.
