Ive read before they are completely nature. I think somebody on here actually has some of them, he was the one that told us they are natural...and expensive, usualy $20+ a piece! I love them though!

They might be the "Green Laser" variety of C. aeneus, although I've never seen green lasers look that green all over. Could of course be an affect of the tank lighting/flash. And yes special varieties like Green Laser, Orange Laser, and Black tend to have some pretty hefty price tags.

*Edit* ...also keep in mind that it's pretty darn easy to crank up a specific color in Photoshop without affecting others as much. The green in some of the (argh forget the word)...we'll call them condensed pixels...plus the odd violet tone in the gravel makes me a little suspicious of color tweeking, filters or odd lighting.

photo-shop?

Very pretty, but I'm thinking at least a little photoshopping or odd lighting happened. The gravel does look weird.

i'd agree with it just being photoshopped (altered via computer) or just the lighting. once i took a pic of my black and white rat to show to a friend and she turned out blueish/purple. we do have emerald green/green corys (probably misnamed i know) so maybe they were those with the colors tweaked?

My wife is a photoshopper and I had her look.

She pointed out a few things that makes her think probably not.

1st thing she noticed was the reflection in the glass is also green so if it is they made sure they colored that also.

2nd the way the light hits them and the color tone change.

She says if they are photo shopped the person went through A LOT of work to do it.

So in her opinion its not PSed.
