There is a small pile of egg-looking things in my substrate. They are peach colored and are surrounded by these really thin white hairs that allow them to get caught on the current.
We only have dwarf green shrimp, RCS, pygmy cories, and chili rasboras. I'm fairly certain these are snail eggs as we spotted a few really small snails. I crushed them and removed all the eggs I could find, but I think it doesn't matter at this point....I'm going to have to tear the whole tank apart and start over again.
Snails really shouldnt' take over if you have healthy plants, good maintenance, and don't overfeed. I wouldn't tear down the tank and start over just because of htem
