Are these good prices for frags/corals?

they had some gorgeous looking red mushrooms that I had my eye on, because my tank needs red. The auction has gone off now but they didn't sell and I'm sure I can get a peek at a few when I go to the store Saturday.

I was looking at this frag, because it has a feather duster on it and I've been wanting a feather duster. Seems like a two for the price of one kind of deal!

whats up with these reef clubs that yall are talking about? how do I find one? I'm in S. FL. They sell discounted corals and fish?

Reef clubs are a great resource of fellow hobbyist hanging out and helping each other with their tanks. Sharing the hobby together. You can usually get great deals from guys with fast growing tanks.

The problem with the frags for $10 here is that they are small. You can get the whole colony(equal to 3-10 frags) for $30-$40 instead. I do not support frags under 2". They are too small IMO.

Your last choice of the Acro w/orange feather worm is a high light low nutrient coral. I would not recommend it unless you are SPS ready. You can try it but if you are unfamiliar with the care of SPS corals then it will probably die. That piece is for auction and the price may get much higher.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate the insight. brackishguy was kind enough to send me the link to find reef clubs, though they're all still a bit of a drive. I am moving to Georgia so maybe I'll wait and join one there.

I also appreciate the feedback on the coral. I'm not much of an impulse buyer so I did research it and in the end decided I wouldn't be a suitable owner of that coral at this time, but it's good to hear an opinion from someone who knows about these things.
