Are these JD's too small to sex?

Okay it's been a little while...

Everything that I've read makes me lean towards a pair. The first pic is the one I believe to be male, second pic female. Sorry that they arent very photogenic and my camera skills stink. Just wanted someone to lend a "seasoned eye" to either confirm or disprove my assumption. Thanks in advance guys.

Well they both have blue on their gill plates which makes me think females but the top pic does have a lot of red on the dorsal fin and that is usually male trait.

Both of my females have the red all the way across the top fin. The bottom one I would guess female, the top one I wouldn't be confident enough to say.
