Are These Test Kits Effective ?

I prefer the regular liquid test kits over the strips/sensors. The sensors are ok for general use, but I don't think they are as accurate as the regular test kits.

Liquid kits only for me.

API Liquid kits.............:)

The indicators are very expensive to use because the sensor needs to be replaced quite often. It says how often on the package but I don't remember exactly. I think it was like monthly or something like that. The liquid reagent test kits will last a long time and are thought to be more reliable. They also cost less to buy up front. You can get the whole master freshwater kit for about $25 or less on line.

I believe the OP lives in India (correct me if I'm wrong, kush), so it is very difficult/expensive to get a lot of these products. I agree that a liquid test kit is the way to go, and API is the most trusted/reliable brand. However, if this is the only option you have (without going completely broke) it is better than nothing. If you are paying a lot to have it shipped, I would get a few extra sensors so you won't have the problem OldMan47 wrote about. However if it is possible for you to get a liquid test kit, I would highly recommend going that route as others have said.
