Are we all dorks?

Dorks? No. For what we are, you could consult the Thesaurus and find the following:
nerd also nurd
NOUN: 1. Slang. An unpleasant, tiresome person: bore. Slang : drip, dweeb, jerk, pill, poop2. See LIKE. 2. Slang. One deficient in judgment and good sense: ***, fool, idiot, imbecile, jackass, mooncalf, moron, nincompoop, ninny, nitwit, simple, simpleton, softhead, tomfool. Informal : dope, gander, goose. Slang : cretin, ding-dong, dip, goof, jerk, schmo, schmuck, turkey. See ABILITY.

but the reference seems to be deficient in the positive aspects of the dictionary's take on the same entry word:
2. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits...

so, as one who has been called all of these things over the years (post by judgemax excepted), I vote "none of the above".

whether it's considered geeky or dorky, I see a new trend lately, people getting into fish tanks.

It's amazing how many people see our work tank and are so intruiged by it. Many people come back and ask, take notes, and start the hobby.

So the way I see it is, being a fish geek is the new cool!

:D

:iagree:
My brother and his two friends started out with a tank, then one of them got two more, then so did the other, now six more of his friends have tanks.
Our neighbour two doors down has just cleaned out his old 7gal and started the cycle, he's going to get a crowntail betta. Thankfully I can direct them to this site
