Arrowana Compatibility!

pearls are jardinis. the other one is the spotted. most jardinis are very mean but some are different. somone i know has his in with a silver and some clown loaches.

So it seems like it would be a 'take your chance' situation and cross my fingers. I have a good relationship with a few of the local stores and i know that they would take one back if it wasn't working out. I did have a gar (florida) a few years ago. Great fish, very clever and brilliant to watch hunting and feeding, but it wasn't the most agile fish, it was very long and took its time to turn around, my leporinus quickly learnt that they could nip him very easily. He ended up in the main tank at a LFS along with a Redtailed Cat. which was nice to see. Apart from gars, if i decide against an arowana any other suggestions?

If you dont want a silver, you should get some Siamese Tiger fish. They are labled as brackish, but will do fine in freshwater.
