Does anyone know about how this affects fish? I recently got a letter from our city that the local water is well above the legal limit for arsnic. (10ppm is allowed and we are at 20-24ppm) I have not seen any problems with my fish so far, but my mother in law has lost 3 discus so far.

As a side note, they tell us it wont hurt us, and that we can still drink the water. We don't need to rush out and get bottled water or anything, but if we notice respiratory problems, cancer or other life threatening illnesses we should go to the doctor and tell them about the arsenic:screwy:

Where do you live in Cali?

And if you happen to have an R/O unit, you can buy resin that purposely absorbs Arsenic.

I grew up in Hanford CA

We had a elevated level of arsenic in our tapwater also. So much so that a lethal dose wouldnt kill me still now even though Ive moved away.

I never really noticed any problems I could correlate to arsenic with my fish growing up.
