I have a bad care of camallanus worms in one of my tanks- No luck with Metronidazole (sp?) prazi pro or Jungle tabs parasite clear- evven with tripple doses!

Levamisole is the only thing I know will work, but I can't find it anywhere anymore- its sold as a pig/livestock dewormer, but is back ordered/out of stock at every vet/farm supply place I have checked.

Does it go under another name? The reason I ask is my wife is a vet tech and she says she's never heard of it.

how much do you need?

Levasole is another name. The downside is they are apparently obsolete but nevertheless effective so not many people have heard of this. The alternative would be flubendazole. Try Dr. Foster and Smith.

have the fish stopped eating? jungel anti parasite food has it in the US version.
flubendazole is also suppose to work.

also try online farm supplies

I had a similar issue 2 months back and went with Angels Plus medicated food (fenbendazole). Cleared everything right up.

I have tried every online farm supply I can find. No one has levamisole anymore and the factory is not making it. If anyone has a local supplier that has older stock on the shelves that's the only possibility. I live in NY just outside NYC there are no farm supplies by me.

I have fenbendazole food, but the fish don't like it. They will still eat the regular tetra flake like crazy but won't touch the medicated stuff. I fed just the medicated food for four days, and the fish wouldn't eat it. I thought it might be the parasite causing them to stop eating, but when I tried the old food again, the gobbled it up like crazy.

I am really looking for levamisole. I would like a whole prohibit drench pack if anyone can find me one- I think its something like 58 grams, but if its not possible and someone has some to spare I need at least two teaspoons.
